Jack is a founding partner at MoreVC. There are a few things about this job that Jack loves. It is a privilege to be the trusted advisor to founders and teams who bring incredible passion to their work every day, something Jack first experienced as a VP at Register.com (Nasdaq IPO) two decades ago. From that experience, he knows how important each team member is at a small company, and so Jack spends a great deal of time helping recruit talented people to MoreVC portfolio companies. This is especially rewarding when it is young people at the beginning of their careers. And doing all of this from Israel, which Jack and his family have called home since 2003, is the icing on the cake. Jack led the investments in Prospera (acquired by Valmont), WeissBeerger (acquired by AB InBev), Emefcy (ASX: FLC), FRX Polymers (TSXV: FRXI), Aqwise, Groundwork BioAg, OpenEyes, Oxeye Security and CommonNinja. A native of New Jersey, Jack brought his passion for baseball to Israel where he has coached little league for 12 years, and he is active in his community on the board of a pluralistic school. Jack received a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from Harvard College where he made some of his closest friends to this day.

Glen has been in this industry for more than 25 years and brings some grey hair to the table, though he’s got less of it than he used to. After three years at Jerusalem Global, writing business plans for some of Israel’s top startups, Glen moved over to JVP where he spent close to a decade, partnering with some of that firm’s standout portfolio companies - PowerDsine (IPO, then acquired by Microsemi), XMPie (acquired by Xerox), Cyoptics (acquired by Avago), Sheer Networks (acquired by Cisco) and Altair (acquired by Sony). In 2006, Glen joined Jack and Meir in launching ICV, now MoreVC and has led investments in Vayyar, Freightos, Scodix, Ubeya, Tolstoy, Wanda Fish and Imagindairy. Glen loves working with founders who are first and foremost great people - high integrity, generous, open to learning, and driven to succeed by bringing innovation that matters to the world. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife and five children. Outside of work, Glen is actively involved in projects to strengthen the socio-economic fabric of Jerusalem, bringing upward mobility to Jewish and Arab populations of working poor in the city. He is an avid Boston sports fan much to the dismay of his partners. Glen holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Kennedy School at Harvard and a B.A. from Harvard College.

NameMeir Ukeles

Meir is a founding partner at MoreVC. He is the youngest member of the partnership but is often mistaken for the oldest, thanks to years of sleeping on airport benches and late nights spent on conference calls as he wanders his backyard weeding. Meir tends to be most excited by companies that are shaking up large, difficult markets. He typically focuses on how a company reaches its target customers, with an emphasis on clear channels to market, leverageable unit economics and a defensible case for why a small new entrant can survive alongside massive incumbents. Meir has led investments in Claroty, Gro Intel, Grid4C, Lumos, C2A Security, Ception, Vanti, ReDefine and Panoramic Power (acquired by Centrica/Direct Energy) as well as Pythagoras Solar and Tigo Energy. Meir began his tech/finance career in 1996 at Jerusalem Global Ltd., where he was hired by Glen Schwaber, a decision both Meir and Glen struggle to understand today. Meir can be found on most evenings at one of Israel’s few ice hockey rinks, where he helps his kids and periodically plays himself despite advice of competent medical professionals. He served two tours of duty in the Israeli military, including as an officer in IDF’s Unit 8200. Meir received a B.A. in political science and East Asian studies from Columbia University.

NameLila Frenkel

TitlePartner & CFO

Lila is a partner and the chief financial officer at MoreVC. She has been an integral part of the fund’s leadership team since its inception. She is a competitive long-distance runner (marathons and ultra-marathons), and she applies the same strategic vision and foresight that she uses in her training and races to financial planning for the fund, its investors and its portfolio companies. Prior to joining MoreVC, she was CFO of an operating company, AxisMobile (AIM: AXIS), which she led through an IPO on the AIM exchange in London, and was controller at Concord Ventures. In her free time, she is a volunteer guide runner, aiding a visually impaired runner. Through all her experiences, Lila’s greatest joy is her son Michael. A certified public accountant, she holds a B.A. in finance and accounting from the Tel Aviv College of Business Management.

NameRony Patishi-Chillim

Rony brings 15 years of operating experience and deep knowledge of the Agtech and Foodtech industries to the MoreVC team. She is the former CEO of Lycored, a leading food supplement and ingredients company in Israel where she managed a team of over 300 employees, growing the core business to $90M annual revenues during her six-year tenure. Prior to Lycored, Rony held senior corporate leadership roles, including SVP of Global Corporate Communications and Business Development at ADAMA, one of the world’s largest crop protection companies (now a member of the Syngenta Group). Rony understands the complexities of global scale up and go-to-market first-hand and brings a keen corporate finance acumen to her work, having spent eight years as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in their NY and Tel Aviv offices, and later as VP of Finance at ADAMA. In seeking out new investments for the fund, Rony looks for attainable financial models and attractive unit economics in companies that can scale both organically and through acquisitions to become market leaders. Rony is passionate about ESG at a practical and tangible level having seen how commitment to sustainability drives business change as a leader in Syngenta Group. She actively mentors women business leaders in Israel and is a member of a well-known women-led investment club (NeoMe). Rony is married with three children and grew up in the industrial business world from early age as a daughter and granddaughter of seasoned business owners. A member of YPO, Rony holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA in Business and Literature from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Arnon is a venture partner at MoreVC and brings nearly 40 years of executive experience to the fund. He serves on numerous boards and knows the challenges and opportunities of growing a company. His extensive resume includes positions as CEO of TMB Water and 17 years at Israel Chemical, where his roles included Corporate VP for Business Development; Chairman of R&D, Fertilizers & Chemicals and Ceramics units; and Director at Israel Desalination Engineering. Arnon is best known for having hundreds of thousands of miles on his car from traveling across Israel for meetings. He received a B.Sc. from Hebrew University and his M.Sc. from the School of Ocean Engineering at the University of Rhode Island.

The energy created when a determined team meets the idea of their dreams always makes Elliott smile. And the quest for that energy led Elliott to follow his dream – joining MoreVC in 2021. Elliott spent his previous career leading and managing cyber security and other technology projects. Elliott believes that the values he witnessed leading to successes there – values like initiative, leadership and relentless creativity – are some of the same values that can power startup teams to scale and beyond. Elliott led MoreVC's investments in hyve and CarbonBlue and supports the cyber security companies in our portfolio including Claroty, Sunday Security and C2A. Elliott’s first career was as a lawyer in New York City working on both public securities offerings and private M&A. Upon moving to Israel together with his wife and two daughters (two sons, two sons-in-law and two grandsons(!) have since been added) way back in 1999, Elliott transitioned to high-tech and became VP of Business Development at a digital-imaging startup called ImageID, with responsibility for strategic partnerships and fundraising. In his spare time over the years, Elliott learned to fly a Robinson R-22B helicopter, served as a tank driver in the IDF, played drums at weddings and bar mitzvahs (and lately in a rock cover band), and bombed repeatedly at stand-up comedy. Elliott holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, an MA in Government (counter-terrorism and cyber security) from Reichman University (IDC Herzliya), and a B.A. in English Literature from Yeshiva University.
